Translation notes: It's virtually impossible to translate the tone of line 3 into English- it uses a very particular Japanese sentence construction that simply doesn't have any English equivalent. Literally, 'deatte shimattanda' translates to 'we met,' but the grammatical form is such that it's understood that something happened that the speaker somewhat regrets. I guess the closest English word I can come up with is 'unfortunately,' but using that in the translation would have ruined the effect of the song. So, I just left it out.
